The new light uses a simple stainless steel base finished with an eco-friendly powder coating. In Japanese, the word bonbori not only denotes this traditional form of lighting, but also describes the soft light coming from a snowy cave. The light is inspired by the traditional paper lamps that line the pathways of shrines and temples during Japan’s annual rice paddy harvest festivals. The new Bonbori collection, created by the world-famous Japanese designer Fumie Shibata, is available in indoor and outdoor variants.
